Changes Coming to the myLIBRO App

Changes coming to the myLIBRO app
Have you been using the myLIBRO app to schedule your curbside pickups? You may be surprised to learn that we started working with myLIBRO before COVID. In 2019 we set out to explore accessibility through voice search with a Lyrasis Grant. While curbside pickup is ending, you can still use myLIBRO to:
  • Search the catalog
  • Place holds
  • Renew items
  • List items checked out
  • List items ready for pickup
  • Ask questions about library open hours
  • Search for events
Who might prefer to use myLIBRO?
myLIBRO is a good fit if you:
  • Have accessibility needs or prefer using voice
  • Manage multiple accounts
  • Are not interested in the extra BiblioCommons features
  • Have a limited data plan

How do I enable voice responses?

  • From the home screen, tap on the profile icon at the top right of the library card.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Under the heading voice, toggle on Read chat response.
Improved app launching the week of June 28
Based on requests from many libraries, myLIBRO has improved the user interface. New features include:
It may take a few days for the new app to update in the iOS and Google app stores. Once it does, your app will prompt you to update. If you have auto-update enabled, you won't need to do anything. The first time you open the new app, you'll be prompted to re-enter your library card details.
