Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our Makerspaces are free, library-operated workspaces for people of all ages. All are welcome to learn, create, and collaborate together through hands-on experiences. Our Makerspaces include equipment and supplies for:
    • Art,
    • Sewing,
    • Audio and video recording,
    • Coding,
    • Robotics, and more.
  • You will find the Makerspace on the first floor of the Bellevue Library.

  • This space is for everyone. Some workshops may have age and size limits due to the content or availability of tools. Be sure to read class descriptions or ask a staff member for details before attending.

  • Arts and Crafts

    • 3 Doodler Start (ages 5-13), and Create (14 and up)
    • 3 Doodler Create
    • Craft materials including yarn, knitting needles, hand sewing, coloring, sculpting clay, etc.
    • Painting and Sketch materials
    • Sewing Machines (Janome HD 3000, Singer Ultralock Serger)

    Design and Engineering

    • 3D Printer 
      • Models: Prusa I3 MK3S & PRUSA I3 MK2S
      • Printing filament used: PLA 1.75mm
      • Variety of colors
      • Length of print jobs: No more than two hours, once a week
      • Cost: Free through KCLS Foundation Grant and Bellevue Friends of the Library, charges in the future
    • Cricut Maker
    • HP Sprout
    • Laser Cutter 
      • Model: Epilog Mini 18"x12"
      • Items to be etched/cut: wood, acrylic, coated metal, fabric, leather (Please talk to a staff member for details.)
