Bellevue Library Construction Begins on Monday, April 8

The Bellevue Library will close on April 8 and tentatively on May 11 for construction. From April 9 through early May, we'll offer limited walk-up services in the lobby. During this time, windows will be replaced. Window replacement is regular upkeep that ensures building temperatures can be effectively regulated.

Timeline

  • Monday, April 8: Full building and parking garage closure.

  • Tuesday, April 9 through early May: Limited walk-up services in the lobby. The main level of the parking garage will be available during this time.

  • Saturday, May 11: Full building and parking garage closure (tentative).

  • Early May: Re-opening.

Limited walk-up services

We'll offer limited services in the lobby from Tuesday, April 9 through early May. You'll be able to:

  • Pick up holds.

  • Drop off returns.

  • Browse a limited number of new and recommended books on display for same-day checkout.

Parking

The entire garage will be unavailable during full closures on April 8 and tentatively on May 11. The main level of the parking garage will be available April 9 through early May.

Meeting rooms 

The gallery meeting rooms will remain open as a study area but will not be reservable.

Bathrooms

Lobby bathrooms will continue to be available.

Computer Lab and Printing

A limited number of computers will be available for 30-minute sessions in the lab. One color printer will be available in the lobby.
