3D Printer
We have Prusa MK4 & Prusa i3 MK3S 3D printers with .4mm nozzles. We print using 1.75mm filament, and we have both PLA and PETG in a variety of colors.
- Print jobs must be complete by the end of the Makerspace program or by the end of your reservation window.
- You can bring in 3D files such as .stl or .obj and prepare them for printing using Makerspace computers. Or, you can prepare the files at home and bring in the G-code file to print.
Prepare your files for printing
Download PrusaSlicer to prepare files for our 3D printers. The printers need different settings, so be sure you slice for the correct printer. Here are our recommended settings:
i3MK3S
- Default slicing settings for MK3S:
- Print settings: .20mm QUALITY
- Filament: Generic PLA
- Printer: Original Prusa i3 MK3S and MK3S+
- Save the G-code to an SD card that is 32GB or smaller.
MK4
- Default slicing settings for MK4:
- Print settings: .20mm SPEED
- Filament: Generic PLA
- Printer: Original Prusa MK4 Input Shaper 0.4 nozzle
- Save the G-code to a USB drive.
If you bring in G-code, we recommend also bringing in the .stl or .obj file in case you need to make changes.
