Return all items through the manual book drop.

We're not able to accept returns handed to staff in-person or through Self Check-In.

Returned items will be quarantined – and remain on your account – for a minimum of 3 days before being checked in. We’re not charging overdue fines right now, but all due dates and renewal limits still apply. Any fines or fees accrued during this time will be waived.

Ways to Use Curbside to Go

1. Make an appointment on the myLIBRO mobile app or website. Or, call the library in advance to set the appointment for you.

2. Call the phone number on signs outside when you arrive at the library. Each library has a different phone number. Staff will book the earliest open appointment for you.

3. Walk up without making a phone call to receive the earliest open appointment. Wait times may vary. The first open hour is the busiest hour. The last available pickup slot is 15 minutes before closing.

How to Pick up Your Holds

You'll get an email notification when your holds are ready. After you get the email, you can go to the library for curbside pickup. When you arrive at the library, please go to the front door area. This is where staff will place holds for you to pick up and go. Follow the instructions on the signs posted outside the library.

What if I don't pick up my holds at my scheduled appointment?

Please do not place any other objects on the table. Wear a mask and maintain a physical distance of at least 6 feet from anyone else in the area.

We encourage you to let us know if you need accommodation.

Please do not use this service if you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Surprise bags are bags selected by librarians and library staff by age and interest. Surprise bags are available at Curbside to Go locations (plus Library Connection @ Southcenter). Surprise Bags are five items each, and there is a three bag per patron limit. MyLIBRO app users can request a bag when picking up holds. Ask for the bag in the “Arrival Notes” field when you arrive for your scheduled appointment. At some locations, you may also request a surprise bag without having items ready for pickup. Walk-up patrons can ask when making their appointment. myLIBRO website users can request a bag when making an appointment. Ask for the bag in the “Add a Note” field. You can ask for a bag of titles in any of these categories.
  • You may return your books through the manual book drops during open hours. Find the nearest location with a book drop on the Find a Location map. Or, find your library on the A-Z location list. Check our website frequently for updates.

  • Yes. You can now place new holds, activate suspended holds, and pick up holds. You will get an email notification when your holds are available.

  • When a new hold arrives, there is a 3-hour window where it is in "reserved/pending" status. This gives staff time to perform work to get it ready. After 3-hours, the status changes to "ready to pickup" and then you can schedule in the myLIBRO app.

  • All due dates and renewal limits are currently in effect. However, we are not charging new overdue fines through December 31, 2020.

     

  • Surprise bags can’t be customized, but if you would like personalized titles the best way is through our BookMatch service. Share your reading preferences and we'll send a list of books chosen just for you.
