There was an Old Woman who Lived in a Shoe

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe
Who had so many children, she didn't know what to do!
She gave them some broth, without any bread
And kissed them all soundly, and put them to bed!

Another Version:
There was an old lady who lived in a shoe
She had so many children, she didn’t know what to do
She gave them some broth
She gave them some bread
She gave them a hug
And she put them to bed.

Add this paragraph if using a flannel board (from Flannel Board Storytelling Book, opens a new window by Judy Sierra):

You know the old woman who lived in a shoe?

And had so many children she didn’t know what to do?

I think if she lived in a little shoe-house

That little old woman was surely a…mouse!
