The Sammamish Library will soon be open 7 days a week. Starting April 27, the library will have open hours from 11am to 6pm on Sundays. We hope you enjoy this additional day of library service!
Why is this change happening now?
The Sammamish Library is one of the busiest locations in our system. The number of patrons who visit and borrow items has steadily risen. The population of Sammamish also continues to grow alongside new construction. Patrons have been asking for more hours and we're happy to be able to offer this responsive change.
Will more libraries expand their open hours?
We plan to add more days of service to several other libraries in 2025 and 2026. We will announce more open hours changes when that information is available.
When identifying which library hours will expand, we consider the following factors:
- Community feedback
- Circulation
- Door Counts
- Geography
