Updated 4/19/2022:
The Renton Library reopened on Tuesday, April 19.
The Renton Library will reopen on Tuesday, April 19. The library has been closed since January. An HVAC system malfunctioned and resulted in water damage inside the building. We're getting ready to welcome patrons back.
Until April 19:
The Renton Library will be closed. Pick up holds at the Skyway Library. Get the details about the closure.
Return items to the book drop or Self-Check-in. You can also return items to any of our other libraries.
We're not currently collecting overdue fines. We appreciate you returning your items when due as other patrons may have a hold on the item you’re returning.
Starting on April 19:
The Renton Library will open for visits.
Hours will change. Renton will be open on different days of the week and for more hours than it was before it closed. This is because Renton was closed when library hours expanded in February.
Where are my holds?
When the Renton Library was closed, we sent all holds to the Skyway Library. All holds already processed at the Skyway Library by the end of the day on April 14 will remain there. You will need to go to the Skyway Library to pick those up. We aren't shipping holds that are already ready at the Skyway Library to Renton.
Beginning on April 19, all new Renton holds will be available for pickup at Renton.
Did you send your holds to a different location when Renton closed? You can update pickup locations for future holds in your account. For help, call Ask KCLS at (425) 462-9600 or (800) 462-9600.
