Community Court differs from traditional Court in that it seeks to identify and address the underlying challenges of court participants.  The Resource Center is an integral component of Community Court. It consists of community partners who provide a wide array of services, such as healthcare/insurance, DSHS, education, job training, behavioral health, substance use disorder help, housing, food/clothing, library services, transportation, civil legal matters, dispute resolution, and mediation.

The team uses a collaborative approach and develops a personalized treatment plan. The Resource Center is available to all members of the public.

Since its inception in April, seven people have graduated from the community court program, and more than 400 residents have visited the Resource Center.

Community Court and the Resource Center is a collaborative partnership between King County District Court, The City of Redmond, and the King County Library System.
