The Redmond Library will close for construction from November 18 to December 25. During that time, we will replace two systems. One is for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). The other system processes materials returned through self-check-in machines. Learn what to expect during the closure, including when and where to pick up holds and return items.
Timeline
Saturday, November 16: Last day to pick up holds at Redmond before the closure begins.
Sunday, November 17: Last day the Redmond Library building is open before the closure.
Monday, November 18: Full building closure begins.
Tuesday, November 19: Holds available for pickup at the Bellevue Library.
Thursday, December 19: Last day to pick up holds at the Bellevue Library.
Tuesday, December 24-Wednesday, December 25: Closed for the holidays.
Thursday, December 26: Redmond Library reopens and holds pickup resumes at this location.

Holds
Saturday, November 16, is the last day to pick up holds at Redmond before the closure begins. After that, we will automatically send Redmond holds to the Bellevue Library. Speak with staff if you would like your holds sent to another location during the closure.
Holds pickup will not be available November 16-18. You can pick up holds at the Bellevue Library starting on Tuesday, November 19. Thursday, December 19 will be the last day to pick up holds at the Bellevue Library. You can pick up holds at Redmond again when the library reopens on December 26. Holds will be extended for one week when transitioning between locations.
Returns
Return items to other nearby library locations, opens a new window. You can also return items later, as we do not charge late fines, opens a new window.
