The King County Library System (KCLS) condemns acts of violence against all people. We recognize the recent shootings in the Atlanta area and the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes have affected our KCLS community. We offer our sympathy and support to Asian and Asian American individuals, staff and patrons.
KCLS respects the diverse and intersecting identities of our communities. We strive to foster a safe and welcoming environment. Everyone deserves to live free of fear and intimidation.
We will not tolerate racist and xenophobic behavior in our libraries. And we will continue to work together to advance racial equity and inclusion for all.
