Starting November 5, you will be able to enjoy full library services, building access, and expanded hours.
We closed the Fairwood Library on June 26, due to vandalism and theft. Portions of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system were stolen and damaged. On July 15, we reopened part of the building for modified services. The rest of the library will remain closed until November 5.
Open Hours
Through Saturday, November 4, Fairwood will be open with modified hours:
- Monday: 11am-6pm
- Tuesday: 1-8pm
- Wednesday: 1-8pm
- Thursday:11am-6pm
- Friday:11am-6pm
- Saturday: 11am-6pm
- Sunday: 11am-6pm
Starting on Sunday, November 5, open hours will expand and return to their normal schedule.
- Monday: 10am –6pm
- Tuesday: noon-8pm
- Wednesday: noon-8pm
- Thursday: 10am –6pm
- Friday: 10am –6pm
- Saturday: 11am-6pm
- Sunday: 11am-6pm
Modified Services
Modified services will remain in effect through Saturday, November 4.
- You will only have access to the large meeting room. The rest of the library will be closed to the public while the HVAC system is repaired.
- In the large meeting room, you may pick up holds, access Wi-Fi, and check out surprise bags of books.
- The restrooms will be closed to the public.
- Fairwood’s full collection is currently unavailable. You will not be able to browse for materials while the library is open.

You will have access to more materials at Fairwood twice a week in our Library2Go van. Library2Go vans are bookmobiles that bring library materials to the community. You may board our bookmobile to check out books, music, and movies. Library staff will also provide outdoor programming during Library2Go visits. The van will be in the parking lot on the following days and times:
- Mondays, 12-3pm
- Fridays, 11am-2pm
Please note: Outdoor events and Library2Go van access may be canceled due to weather conditions.
Full services will be available starting Sunday, November 5.
Holds Pickup
Through Saturday, November 4:
- You may select Fairwood as your pickup location for holds.
- You may pick up holds in the large meeting room.

Starting Sunday, November 5, you will be able to pick up holds on the regular hold shelf.
Returns
You can return items through the manual book drop or Self-Check-in machine.
Wi-Fi
Through Saturday, November 4, you may access Wi-Fi in the large meeting room and in the parking lot. Starting Sunday, November 5, you can access Wi-Fi anywhere in and around the building.
