Your bank will post an "authorization hold" to your credit or debit account. They will post a hold each time you try to make an online payment. It is a pending transaction and not a final charge.
If they deny the payment, your bank will remove the hold from your account. They will remove it after a waiting period that is set by the bank. This may take several days.
