Hi-ho the dairy-o the farmer in the dell.
The farmer takes a wife…
The wife takes a child…
The child takes a dog…
The dog takes a cat…
The cat takes a rat…
The rat takes the cheese…
The cheese stands alone.
All in a circle with “the farmer’ in the middle.
1st verse, the farmer chooses a wife to enter the circle etc etc
During the last verse, all rejoin the circle except the “the cheese” who is alone.
