Día Celebration at the Kent Library

Join us at the Kent Library on Saturday, April 25, from 11:30AM to 2:30PM.
Enjoy a story time by Jaime Méndez in Spanish and English. Make your very own sarape Aztec motif during arts and crafts time. Get your groove on with a dance performance.

Event Timeline:

11:30AM-Noon: Welcome from Executive Director Heidi Daniel, Director of Equity and Social Impact Department Dominica Myers, Mayor of Kent Dana Ralph and Kent Police Chief Rafael

Noon-12:30PM: Spanish/English Story Time with Se Habla Anchor Jaime Méndez

12:30-1PM: Spanish Story Time with local author Nora Girón

12:30-2PM: Create a Sarape Aztec Motif with Amaranta Sandys

1-1:30pm: Spanish Story Time with Xiomara Melgar

1:30-2PM: Latinx Dance Performances

2-2:30PM: Conchitas and Paletas

Story Times will also be available online with event registration. Attending virtual Story Times? Pick up a free multilingual book on Friday, April 24 at the Kent Library.
