- 1964: Vista Library opens in the Cascade-Spring Glen Community Club at 11635 SE 170th Place
- 1967: KCLS purchases the building and the Club donates $10,000 for remodeling
- 1969: The Carriage Lane Garden Club donates landscaping services
- 1980: Library proposition approval funds new library construction
- 1986: Opening of a new 15,000-square-foot Fairwood Library
- 1996: Reciprocal agreement between KCLS and the Renton Public Library goes into effect
