Our Friends make a difference!

Your local library does a lot of amazing things, providing books and computer access, one-on-one assistance, in-depth research, and quality educational programs for all ages. And we couldn't do it without the help of the Friends of the Auburn Library. This fantastic group of volunteers supports the library through fundraising, advocacy, and program assistance, while helping to guide the development of programs and services. Friends of the Library members come from all walks of life, but they share a passion for learning and for coming together as a community. They work hard to help the library be successful, most notably through organizing the annual Book Sale, a beloved part of the city's Fourth of July celebration next door to the library in Les Gove Park. They also maintain an ongoing book sale in the foyer of the Auburn Library, with new and interesting fiction, nonfiction, and children's books in excellent condition, and at bargain prices. Proceeds from these sales go directly to support library programs, and allow us to do so much more than we could otherwise do.

The Friends of the Auburn Library meet monthly on Tuesday evenings. New members are always welcome -- please join us!
