All libraries will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 6. You can still use some contactless and online services while we're closed. Find out how services will be impacted by the holiday.
Ask KCLS staff will not be available by email, chat, and phone. Staff will not be available to respond to questions on our social media accounts. These customer service channels will resume normal operation on Tuesday, September 7.
Library buildings are not open for visits on Sundays or Mondays. In-building services will be unavailable but the holiday will not impact them. If your library is open for visits on Tuesdays, hours will resume on Tuesday, September 7.
Redmond Ridge Library Express will be open for self-serve hold pickup. You'll be able to scan or type your library card at the secure entry to enter the building. You'll also be able to return items to the book drop.
You can find current hours on your library's location page.
Curbside pickup ended when all libraries reopened in July. Curbside pickup is no longer available at any location.
Lockers are available as a hold pickup option at select library locations. Lockers are available 24/7. If your holds are ready to be collected from a locker, you can pick them up on the holiday.
Book drops and Self-Check-in stations will be open- unless they fill up- on the holiday. You can return items to any book drop while we are closed on Labor Day. Please note that staff will not be available to clear book drops if they fill up while we're closed. Find a book drop or Self-Check-in station near you.
