There are plenty of online library events to get you started. We have workshops for all ages! Join us for classes on horror writing, spooky sound effects, and scary story times. At our Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark event on October 31, you can celebrate the participants and listen to their stories.

If you need some inspiration, check out the spine-chilling titles in these booklists!

We also have resources for all ages to help get you started writing your own short story. Khan Academy has a storytelling class for kids. Go Teen Writers is an extensive website that covers everything from character creation to planning your story. Adults can check out Lynda.com and GCF Learn Free for videos and lessons on writing skills and techniques.
