Library Events for Writers

Library Events at KCLS

The King County Library System tries to be supportive of writers by hosting workshops and writers groups in our branch libraries on a regular basis. The Woodinville Library just concluded a year-long series of programs devoted to the craft of writing, and now the Kirkland Library is beginning the same. In fact, throughout our library system there are programs to help both amateur and professional writers.

Community Events & Organizations

In addition to libraries, the Puget Sound region is home to many inspiring organizations and projects that benefit writers. Listed below are but a few notable ones.

It may be pointless to ask the question: which came first, the writer or the reader? But it hints at a larger truth. Without writers, there would be no readers, and by extension, there would be no books. So grab your pen or your laptop and get writing!
