Ever wonder what your neighbors are reading? There's a good chance that it was one of these books in 2016! Here are our most-checked out books of the year, based on combined eBook and print checkouts.
#6: The Crossing (also in eBook) is from another favorite, Michael Connelly, and features two of his beloved characters: former LAPD Officer Harry Bosch and Defense Attorney Mickie Haller (who stars in The Lincoln Lawyer, recommended above).
#7/9: David Baldacci is the only author to show up in this year's Top 10 twice, with The Guilty (#7, also in eBook) and The Last Mile (#9, also in eBook). The Guilty stars CIA assassin Will Robie, while The Last Mile features football-player-turned PI Amos Decker. Both novels share Baldacci's trademark action-packed plots.

#10: Rounding out the Top 10 is Murder in Time (also in eBook). This time-travel murder mystery from a debut author is a little bit of a surprise- until you learn that it was featured in last summer's Big Library Read. Over 2,700 people checked out the book in that two-week time span alone!
Did you read any (or all?) of our most popular books this year?
