Book club and eBook lovers rejoice! The Big Library Read returns October 12-26!
If you're new to the Big Library Read, here's what you need to know: the Big Library Read is a global eBook club sponsored by OverDrive. Every few months, OverDrive has readers around the world vote on which eBook they'd like to read next, then makes the winning title available for unlimited downloads to anyone with a library card. No holds list, and no waiting!
(Also, just to prevent any confusion, the Big Library Read is a separate program from the NEA's similarly named "Big Read" program).
This time, readers have chosen Chelsea Sedoti's intriguing new mystery The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett. When beautiful, popular Lizzie Lovett goes missing during a camping trip with her boyfriend, teenage misfit Hawthorn Creely is initially ambivalent. After all, bad things just don't happen to perfect people like Lizzie. But as the days pass and Lizzie still isn't found, Hawthorn launches an investigation of her own, taking a job at the cafe where Lizzie worked and befriending Lizzie's boyfriend in an effort to solve the mystery of her disappearance.
From October 12-26, KCLS patrons will have unlimited access to The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett on OverDrive! Check it out at the link above, or visit the KCLS OverDrive site to borrow it and browse our eBook collection. Once you've finished the book, share your thoughts in the comments section of this post, leave a review in the catalog, or join the discussion at the Big Library Read website, where you'll also find a discussion guide and a welcome letter from the author.
