Helpful Tools for working with PDF Files at Your Library

With Adobe Acrobat 2017 software at your library computer, you can find many helpful tools.

Using the Window's searching function, you can find the program, Adobe Acrobat 2017.Right side menu of Acrobat 2017 illustrate choices of actions: Create PDF, Edit PDF, Export PDF, Comment, Organize pages, Enhance Scans, Protect, Fill & Sign, Prepare Form, Compare Files, and more tools.

After opening Acrobat 2017 using the Windows search as illustrated above,

  1. Open your PDF file in Adobe Acrobat 2017. (Find your saved document from "File" menu and "Open.")
  2. Click on “Tools” of Acrobat 2017 or simply see the right side menu for the choices.
  3. Click what you want to do from the choices, as examples illustrated on the right.
  4. Follow the directions.

Useful choices include edit PDF (change words on PDF), organize pages, and make your PDF documents searchable. You can also convert Word to PDF or ppt to PDF. A one-minute video, “how to edit PDF” is available upon opening the Adobe Acrobat 2017. More tutorials are available at Acrobat Tutorials on the Adobe website.
