Books and Boards At Skate Parks

skateboardCome visit us at a local skate park this summer where we'll be bringing free books, mobile computer labs and skateboarding programs!

This summer KCLS will be at skate parks in the Kent area providing services to skateboarders. We will be visiting the Kent West Hill Skate Park, Arbor Heights 360 Skate Park and Kent Lions Skate Park starting in June. At each visit we'll have librarians there to help you find a book on the library to go van, search for new tricks or upload videos on the Mobile Learning Lab, and hand out free books. Here is some inspiration for that video you'll be uploading.

There will also be a Skateboard Maintenance program at two of the parks where skaters can learn how to maintain their board and fix simple problems from a local skate shop owner. One lucky participant will win a free skateboard at each program!

Check out the events listing to learn more about the dates and times we will be at each park. Then get on your board and meet up with us!
