STARS Workshops


Attend free STARS (State Training & Registry System) workshops for parents and those who work in childcare and early education.

Programs

Registration begins two weeks prior to each workshop. Register online or call the community libraries listed below. To get STARS-approved continuing education credit you must bring your STARS registration number to the workshop. Adults only.

Little Scientists: Creating Learning Environments

Presented by Dr. Patricia Nan Anderson.
Does your early childhood classroom invite learning and support children's natural curiosity? An inquiry-based environment can help develop skills in problem-solving while supporting math, science and literacy. Provides two credits hours in Curriculum and Learning Environments.

Sharpening Sensory Awareness

Preschoolers are naturally curious about how their bodies work. When you teach them to carefully observe what they are seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting or feeling, it increases self-awareness and self-regulation. Provides two credit hours in Curriculum and Learning Objectives.
