South Indian Classical Dance Performance
Presented by From Within the Nucleus.
Ages 5 and older.
Enjoy a beautiful Bharathanatyam classical dance from India that uses music, movement and hand gestures to tell stories based on mythology. Attendees will also learn about the costuming and jewelry.

For many cultures, ringing in the New Year is a time to celebrate and honor new beginnings. Through interactive storytelling, cultural artifacts, music and a hands-on art activity, learn about these fascinating cultures!

Be entertained and inspired as this duo weaves music and storytelling into their original performance of Eastern world music that includes a vintage Hurdy-Gurdy.

Ages 3 to 11.
What is peace and how do we create it our world? Hear the story of Sadako, explore conflict resolution techniques, make your own unique paper crane then work together to build an interactive sculpture.

Masks of the Rain Forest Show

Ages 3 and older.
Learn to use the art of calligraphy to create thank you notes, birthday cards and other personal writing. Practice basic strokes and discover the tools and special paper used for this type of art project. Calligraphy pens will be provided during class.

The Funny Woman Who Lost Her Dumpling Puppet Show
Presented by Thistle Theater.
Ages 3 and older.
Enjoy a charming puppet show based on a Japanese tale about a funny woman who follows a rice dumpling down a hole as it bounces into another world. She faces many challenges but uses humor and wit to win the day.

Learn about the fascinating history of Lucha Libre, a form of professional wrestling that is part of Mexican art and culture and then create your very own personalized 3D mask using traditional colors and patterns. All materials provided.
